In May of 2007, Atlas opened its doors in the historic downtown of San Mateo, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The store and brand are the result of hard work and collaboration by a group of dedicated individuals driven by passion over profit, to preserve the true definition of skateboarding and the culture that surrounds it.

The physical location serves as a retail store and art gallery that features a well curated stocklist of like-minded brands as well as a place to host events to coincide with special projects mainly exclusive to Atlas.

Since its beginnings as an independent project that was designed/hand built by friends and family, Atlas continues to pursue its original mission by sustaining a welcoming environment and brand experience for those that appreciate the continuous efforts.
