JASON JÄGEL FOR ATLAS

Now available at Atlas in store and online are three decks designed by Jason Jägel exclusively for Atlas.
Emerging from his backyard studio slash record shack Jason Jägel’s drawings and paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally since 1995. A 2008 monograph of his work, Seventy-Three Funshine, includes a ten-inch vinyl record with music by Madlib. Jagel has created record-cover art for Madlib, MF DOOM, Dudley Perkins, among others. His work appears in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The UCLA Hammer Museum and the Portland Museum of Art, among others. In 2012, he was awarded a fellowship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. His first picture book, Hang Glider & Mud Mask, co-created with Brain McMullen was released in 2012. Jason lives with his wife and two daughters in San Francisco.

ATLAS FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY RECAP

Last night was the Atlas five year anniversary party and the opening reception of Thrasher Magazine's "Ten Years in the Bay" photography exhibition. Many people came from all over to celebrate this milestone and plenty of fun was had. To wrap up the event there was surprise performance Dan the Automator and Kid Koala. ATLAS 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY

Saturday August 11th will be the Atlas five year anniversary party. In addition to the party, it will also be the opening reception of "Ten Years in the Bay", an exhibition sponsored by Nike SB and presented by Thrasher Magazine featuring San Francisco Bay Area based photography from 1991 - 2001. We will also be giving out some limited product from Nike SB. Free BBQ and drinks, 18+ only.

Greg Lamarche is a NYC based fine artist and graphic designer known for creating collages with multiple layers of bold colors , word framents and having a trademark font style using hand cut commercially printed papers.
Lamarche has been featured in numerous publications including the New York Times, Modern Painters, Print, Arkitip and Juxtapoz among others. His work is also featured in several new books, including Graffiti New York, Cutting Edges: Contemporary Collage and The History of American Graffiti. Lamarche created the cover graphics for the upcoming World Piecebook.

Allister Lee is a Toronto based artist and graphic designer that produces a variety of creative work as STUDIO B.I.B, specializing in consultation, branding and graphic work for premier niche retail operations and apparel brands. Past clients and collaborators include Adidas, Color Magazine, Maharishi, Mishka, Nike, Staple, Stussy, and Supreme.
To compliment the work practice STUDIO B.I.B is actively involved in the creation of art exhibitions, collaborative projects and an intermittently produced array of lifestyle products and printed matter. Allister has exhibited artwork internationally in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver, Mexico City, London, and Shanghai.
