We are deeply saddened to inform you that our dear friend and colleague Gener Vasquez has passed away. This past Sunday we woke up to the news that Gener Vasquez was shot and killed in a random, unprovoked attack. We are struggling to process how something so terrible could happen to someone we love and care for so much. If you came by Atlas recently, you were likely able to hang out with Gener and get a taste of his friendly attitude, quirky humor and general kindness. Beyond skating, Gener had deep appreciation for the arts, Japanese culture, drawing, playing music and watching films. He often played soccer, spent time at the beach and loved going on road trips. Gener was a very honest, peaceful and humble person filled with positive energy.

Gener is survived by his Father Dago, Mother Liliana, brother Wilser, sister Gaby and dog Kite.

You will live on in our hearts forever. We miss you so much Gener and we will do everything we can to honor you.
